In May 2015 Patrick Grant won the BFC/ GQ designer menswear fund sponsored by Vertu, part of a twelve month mentoring programme for his transformation of the RTW line E. Tautz. Patrick has numerous other awards to his name, the won the British Fashion Council’s Menswear Designer of the Year award in December 2010 for his work on E. Tautz. In 2012 he won the BFC’s Fashion Forward award, was shortlisted for Designer of the Year at the Scottish Fashion Awards and International Designer of the Year at the WGSN Global Fashion Awards. He was also named Retailer of the Year at the 2008 Scottish Fashion Awards.
In October 2014 Patrick Grant, opened the E.Tautz flagship store on Duke Street, Mayfair. The store, as well as being a platform for the E.Tautz clothing range, offers Patrick the opportunity to showcase the brands relationships with the likes of renowned photographer Martin Parr, as well as launching his book ‘The Original Man’.
In 2015, Patrick Grant purchased the Cookson & Clegg factory in Blackburn after it faced closure. Following this in 2016, Patrick Grant launched Community Clothing, born from concerns about the structural issues facing many small UK clothing and textile businesses – namely, the seasonality of demand, Patrick has been able to save as well as create jobs in the Blackburn community.
